Beechey Carriers
20 year partnership
Beechey Carriers has been operating for around 30 years. The key to its success is its commitment to customer satisfaction and longterm client relationships. For over 20 years, Beechey has relied on Krueger for quality, reliable equipment that performs and this has seen the partnership between the two companies continue to grow.
Beechey Carriers is a family owned and operated transport business. Starting from humble beginnings with just one vehicle back in the 1970s, it was established by Ron and Carol Beechey. Today the company is run by Ron’s son Matthew and his daughter Karen and the vehicle fleet is substantially larger having grown to 40 company vehicles, and over 70 trailers.
With a focus on customer satisfaction and long term client relationships, Beechey Carriers provides a complete transport service centred around its main specialties of Container Transport, Interstate Transport and Warehousing.
Matthew Beechey says, “Over the years we have built many strong relationships with our customers and suppliers alike, Krueger would most certainly be high on this list and it is through their commitment to provide us with a quality product complimented with great after sales service that has made the decision simple each time a new purchase has been required.
"We have been purchasing trailers from Krueger for over 20 years. The relationship has been a long association with my father buying some of his first trailers from Krueger. We still have a drop deck trailer which was purchased in 1990 and is still used daily in our local containers fleet."
More recently, Beechey expanded its fleet further with the purchase of two new Krueger B-double Kurtainer combinations to accommodate increased growth. The combinations incorporate a drop deck design with a mezzanine level which provides significant loading advantages.
Grant Krueger, national sales manager at Krueger explains, "Krueger is prepared to go the extra distance for its customers. Working with Beechey to deliver what they need in order to fulfill their customer’s neneeds has always been a top priority."
Matthew adds, "Beechey has seen solid growth over the past 10 years and we have invested in people and technology setting a firm platform from which to launch the next phase in our growth plan. Given the history between Beechey and Krueger, we can see the opportunities to grow this partnership well into the future."
Krueger would like to personally thank Beechey Carriers for supporting Krueger over the past 20 years and we look forward to continuing to support the company well into the future.
TNT goes again with Krueger
"The Slide-A-Gate was specified primarily for its OH&S benefits. It eliminates gate loss and there is no lifting required."
The order for 13 trailers includes a mixture of rollback and drop deck mezzanine floor trailers which are used for moving express bulk freight. Paul Wild, TNT’s National Fleet and Equipment Manager says that the new trailers are already proving to be a big asset to the fleet. "The drop deck mezzanine trailers are more flexible because they provide extra loading capacity. Normally, with the component of mixed freight carried it is not possible to double stack pallets, but the drop decks provide extra pallet space to better utilise the cubic capacity."
Each trailer features Krueger’s unique Slide-A-Gate load restraint system.
"The Slide-A-Gate was specified primarily for its OH&S benefits. It eliminates gate loss and there is no lifting required, which is great as the mezzanine deck gates are normally quite large and heavy for drivers," says Paul.
Along with removing the risk associated with gates, the Slide-AGate system gives the operator the ability to load/unload in record time. It is highly safety focused, eliminates conventional restraining methods such as load binders to secure freight, and has been extensively tested under the criteria required in the Load Restraint Guidelines 2004.
In fact, the system meets and exceeds the test criteria and is mass management rated for all applications. Krueger also provides the operator with a manufacturer’s statement, as well as fitting a detailed decal confirming compliance with the load restraint guidelines.
Paul adds, "Krueger was excellent to deal with throughout this whole process, very attentive and quick to respond. Everything from the design and engineering process to building the trailers was excellent.
Krueger would like to personally thank TNT for supporting Krueger and we look forward to continuing to support them in the future.
